Charles “Charlie” Lynn Morris went to be with our Father in heaven on February 7, 2024, quietly resting in his home.

Charlie was born to Harlin Morris and Leonard Henderson Morris on August 16, 1946, in Granite, Oklahoma.

Charlie was known for his cut a rug, footloose and fancy- free attitude towards life. He spent many nights out fishing and enjoying the outdoors with his many friends. One of his biggest passions was arrowhead hunting. He enjoyed his Rock and Country music while telling lots of jokes and his amazing stories. Charlie was a natural at mechanics and had worked on many vehicles for friends and loved ones. Charlie also enjoyed leatherworking and beading fine apparel items and clothing. He had a love for all animals and was kind even to the ones people would seem to throw away. Charlie had spent some time in both the Army and Navy in his younger years and loved reminiscing with his best friend Johnny Van Ausdall. Charlie loved building and creating with his hands and acquired a degree in Agriculture while serving time in a state reformatory facility.

Charlie is proceeded in death by his parents, of Granite, and two brothers, Tommy Morris of Colorado and Darrell Morris of Granite, Oklahoma.

Charlie leaves behind one brother Ronnie and wife Debbie Morris of Colorado, and two children Tammy Gilmore Morris of Mangum, OK, and Brannon Morris of Oklahoma. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Chase Gilmore of OKC, OK and Cierra Gilmore of OKC, OK. He also leaves behind two great granddaughters.

Though his memory lives on, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Celebration of life will be held at the Red River Cowboy Church 1001 N. Byers in Mangum, Oklahoma February 24, 2024, at 2 PM.
